Listen new Passion Pit track “Take a Walk”
“Take A Walk” is the first song to be taken from the brand new album “Gossamer” by Passion Pit, out July 23.
Hells yes-es! These fine ppl are on their way back.
I couldnt find this on soundcloud or any official video, so avert your eyes when listening (slightly dreadful upload). Syster Sol a Swedish reggeae artist who I discovered a few years back. I’m not blown away by her but I like her engery and lyrics. Could be interesting for any curator of music out there-give it a play.
Oh my days…..BASS!
Really love this blog. She’s done an awesome job, you’d be silly to not check it out, happy sun-day!

People! Wherever you are, you need to start listening to Rob Da Bank on BBC radio1 it really is such a great show. Rob delivers track after a track like the pro he is. This track was on last week.
Crystal Fighters who I’ve yet to see live- dropped Earth Island in April, included on a sort of repackaging of their Star of love album which they are releasing in the states and touring with at the moment. The song is, in my mind a bit dubstep like, well trippy enough for me to think it was a remix. If they’re in your city grab some friends and see them-why not?
So it seems that the curse of the sophmore album may have struck again. I say ‘may’ as I haven’t listened to either records yet, so I am still cautiously optimistic. The reviews for Santigold’s second album The Master of My Make Believe hit the nets a few weeks back, and they weren’t great. The Very Best quietly dropped a video from what is suppose to be their forthcoming second album MTMTMK. No release date or concert dates out yet. Don’t really feel that the first single is the best I’ve heard from them, fingers crossed they’re saving the best bits for their main release. Also seems that the trio have become a duo. An autumn tour perchance, Very Best?
Detroit Techno boys and girls! So nice to see these guys are touring again. I love social media! A friend of mine turned me on to these guys when she saw I was going to Bestival. I’m really bad with names, so I didn’t remember them until I started listening to them. Then I’m like’ hellooo, of course Inner City’. If you wanna delve deeper into the origins of the detroit sound Inner City’s back catalogue is a good start. Also kevin Saunderson seems like a sweetheart.
We did this during soundcheck at The Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta, GA. Enjoy.
I absolutely adore this cover. It’s massive. Love it.
Seeing this dude at both Way Out West in Gothenburg and Bestival on the Isle of Wight. Cannot wait.

So today, the weather did a re-run here in Sweden’s capital and snowed like it never has, but early evening the sun showed up and melted it all away. A happy ending. Today I’ll be ending the day watching bands Xiu Xiu and Let’s Say We Did in what will hopefully be some post-punk/lo-fi loveliness. At the moment I’m more excited about swedish popppers Let’s Say We Did who are inspiring some summer vibes however just listened to Xiu Xiu’s Joey again which has so many things going on it’s a bit of a sonic buffet for your ear lugs. Join us at Debaser? No? Ok then, just hit play!
So clearly I’m not artistic enough to enjoy the film ‘Cold Weather’. Not my cup of tea, as it turns out. However, I’m glad I did as I stumbled upoon this little gem. Production by Isaac Hayes as I understand it. Belizean calypso-I shall be listening to more!
Golly Gosh. I was innocently looking around for some background info on this track. People on youtube are really cray cray-apparently there’s some real beef stuff going on about a sample. Nonethelessit’s a great track read the comments for shock and giggles.
